The Science
Rescue dogs and cats suffer from separation anxiety far more than those who have been with their families since they were little.
Since 2010, Florida Little Dog Rescue has saved over 4700 dogs, hundreds of cats, hedgehogs as well as a variety of other critters. With so many dogs and cats experiencing separation anxiety, we knew FLDR would be the right place to test the authenticity of our products.

A dog's nose can smell up to 100,000 times better than us humans.
A dog's nose can smell up to 100,000 times better than us humans.
Their nose has an estimated 300 million smell receptors, compared to our 6 million. The area of a dog’s brain that detects smell is 40 times larger than ours.
When dogs were given a variety of scents to include food, other dogs, strangers, the strongest emotional responses, those originating in the caudate nucleus, were reserved for scents from their familiar humans. In other words, dogs favorite scent is that of their human. Even more telling was that their “human” was not present during the study, showing that dogs remember their humans even when they are not there when triggered by their scent.
"I was slightly skeptical, as I work with rescue dogs, many with severe anxiety, but I wanted to give this a try. Our foster pup Chanel who normally is glued to me has been able to lay on a bed across the room -all afternoon without issues! This may not seem like a "big deal" but for her it's huge!!!"
